Our Founders

As black diaspora Cultural Brand Strategists, Louise and Cecelia are storytellers and bridge-builders with a shared mission to redefine how brands show up in Africa — with purpose, not performance.

With personal and professional ties to the continent, they bring a rare dual perspective: global marketing fluency and lived cultural experience. They've worked across international markets, advising household brands, but saw a consistent gap — Africa was either misunderstood, oversimplified, or treated as a monolith. Based on Accra, Ghana and Johannesburg, South Africa operating a cross the continent.

Together, they bring bold thinking, critical insight, and an unwavering commitment to authenticity. Whether they’re working with global brands entering the market for the first time, or supporting African-owned businesses ready to scale, Louise and Cecelia ensure every move is informed and intentional.

This isn’t just business — it’s legacy-work.

What

The Brand Conversationalist specializes in providing brand strategy and implementation (campaigns + activations) for brands entering Africa. Bridging traditional values with the nuances on the continent.

Mission

To help brands enter, navigate, and thrive in African markets by turning deep cultural insight into powerful, purposeful brand action.

Conversational Method

Culture → Co-Create → Connect

**Culture Decode**

We immerse in local realities to uncover the cultural codes, and values that should shape your brand story.

 **Co-Create**

We collaborate with locals to design strategies and stories that resonate from the inside out.

**Connect**

We bring strategy to life through campaigns, content, and experiences that connect with audiences meaningfully — online and irl.

HOW (in detail)

*The Conversational (or the TBC) Method *

A 3-part methodology designed to build culturally-rooted brands that thrive in Africa.

1. CULTURE DECODE

We listen before we lead.

We immerse in local realities to uncover the cultural codes, and values that should shape your brand story.

We decode what matters — from street culture to language, from legacy values to emerging movements — so your brand can move with insight, not assumption.

What we do:

- Cultural & market immersion

- Audience profiling & community listening

- Brand audits through a cultural lense

- Trend and subculture mapping

 2. CO-CREATE

**We build with, not for.**

True resonance happens when local voices shape the brand story. We collaborate with locals to design strategies and stories that resonate from the inside out.

What we do:

- Strategy workshops with cultural insiders

- Creative collaboration with local artists & creators

- Inclusive storytelling & narrative development

- Stakeholder alignment on brand positioning

3. CONNECT

**We activate with empathy.**

Here’s where strategy meets action. We bring strategy to life through campaigns, content, and experiences that connect with audiences meaningfully — online and irl.

What we do:

- Campaign planning & production

- Influencer partnerships that go beyond aesthetics

- Community-first marketing activations

- Messaging that sparks conversation, not noise

Why It Works

This method turns cultural nuance into business value.

It’s insight-led, community-powered, and action-oriented — built to help your brand earn relevance, trust, and growth in Africa.

“Legacy is not what we leave behind but what we breathe in to the future”.  - Davido.
